Our special spring break volunteer trips are perfect for college students looking for an alternative way to spend spring break this year. Instead of doing the usual spring break routine, you can get off the beaten track and make your break matter by joining our specially-designed volunteer project for students.
Jamaica is an incredible island, idyllic in all its indigenous beauty but astonishingly poor beyond beachy tourist paradises. LifExchange and Volunteer Jamaica team up to provide you an opportunity to explore a new country, visit the beaches and hike the waterfall as well as make a difference in the life of a child.
There are two volunteer opportunities. In the mornings you will be scheduled to assist at Primary Schools. Teachers are needed for Reading, Math, Arts & Craft, Sports, IT, Drama, and several other areas. In the afternoons, another great opportunity exists for volunteers to work in orphanages and homes for abandoned children. Help is most needed with homework, to support the staff running the centers, and to help in developing some basic life skills.
