  • Description

With students from more than 85 countries Massey University offers a diverse learning environment and has a history of encouraging internationalism through its many programs. Massey's oldest campus is a green and leafy, bicycle-friendly place that has been described as a "little Amsterdam." It comprises two locations split by the Manawatu River: Turitea across the river from the city and Hokowhitu on the city-side, with the Massey University College of Education. Turitea, set amongst huge trees and beautiful gardens, is the University's founding campus. The Hokowhitu site is the heart of the University's education studies and features modern buildings in a picturesque setting sandwiched between a lush golf course and a lagoon.

  • Highlights

The Study New Zealand program includes the 4-day Fiji Island Adventure, a 5-day group orientation (for most of our sites), guaranteed, fully furnished, and prearranged housing for your entire stay abroad, and much more.

Home to approximately 11,000 students, the Palmerston North campus of Massey University includes five major colleges (Business; Design, Fine Arts & Music; Education; Sciences; and Humanities & Social Sciences). The more than 56 academic departments of which they are constituted provide a comprehensive, innovative and flexible range of diplomas and undergraduate and post-graduate degrees (to the Ph.D. level), focused toward national and international requirements. Of particular interest to international study-abroad students are the University programs in Business Studies, Ecology, Education, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Earth Science, Food Science & Nutrition, Humanities, Social Sciences, Technology, Applied & International Economics, Maori Studies, Mathematical & Information Sciences, Natural Resource Management, Politics, Psychology, Social Anthropology, Science, Biological Sciences, Agricultural & Horticultural Sciences and Sports Science & Management. A characteristic of many of Massey's professional degree programs is their applied nature and close links with industry and professional sectors. The University supports research in all colleges and through many specialized institutes and research centers. The application of the latest research findings is common to all degrees.
