Description

This six-week course is lead by an expert in tourism and recreation management in Australia, in partnership with The University of New South Wales. The ninety-hour program comprises lectures, industry case studies, workshops, guest speakers, field excursions and travel throughout the most spectacular areas of the country. It will not only provide students with a uniquely engaging and enriching way of learning how Australia has implemented the world's best practice in tourism and recreation, but also will equip students with management tools which can be used in a range of industries for future careers. Students participating in this course will visit Australia's most stunning natural, cultural and man-made attractions and, within the context of tourism and recreation, discover the marketing and management techniques that have been used to create such impressive growth. You also will experience the interesting behind-the-scenes operations necessary for orchestrating the great 'tourist theme park' which is Australia.
