We are looking for Secondary School teacher.Your responsibilities include:
* Planning, preparing and presenting teaching programmes
* Setting and mark assignments and tests
* Assessing students' work for internally assessed components of qualifications
* Keeping records and writing reports on students
* Observing and managing student behavior in the classroom and other environments such as the gym and sports fields
* Attending departmental and staff meetings
* Meeting with parents, whanau or caregivers, individually or at parents' evenings
* Participating in or organizing extra-curricular activities such as sport, camp or drama
* Keeping up to date with curriculum changes and assessment methods

Highlights

Due to the national shortage of Secondary School Teachers, positions exist with a number of our clients for Qualified and experienced Secondary School Teachers. The roles are exciting and varied they teach one or more curriculum subject areas to students of about thirteen to eighteen years of age at a secondary school.

Qualifications

* Teaching skills, and knowledge of different teaching methods and learning styles
* Knowledge of the curriculum subjects they teach
* Curriculum assessment and planning skills
* Communication skills and the ability to relate well to students and adults from a range of backgrounds and cultures
* Classroom management skills, including an understanding of behavior management
* Knowledge of school rules and procedures including safety and emergency procedures
* Organizational and problem-solving skills
* Research skills.
* Bachelors Degree (or equivalent ) with a major in a NZ teaching subject and a secondary teaching qualification recognized for registration purposes by the New Zealand Teachers Council or a four year Bachelors of Education/Teaching(Secondary) with a major in a NZ teaching subject

Salary/Pay

Possible entry / relocation. Stipend for the right candidates, salaries vary depending on experience and qualifications, but Secondary School Teachers etc usually earn 45,653 NZD per year. Pay increases each year for seven years according to a fixed scale, with the maximum pay 68,980 NZD a year.
