Students work a minimum of 25 hours a week at a company in the area of their interest. They also do an Internship seminar, where a counselor from C.I.S. guides them from an academic point of view. If interested they can take a class in Spanish, Business, Spanish Culture and Civilization, or other. The Students also participate in the College extracurricular activities and excursions to different cities around Spain.
The companies that work with C.I.S. are top class in their area. Our students get to do real work, in an Spanish environment, while still are in constant contact with other students from C.I.S. The students live at host families, which warranties a full integration in the Spanish way of living.
Students must be Juniors or Seniors. Must have at least one year of College Spanish.

The mission of the College for International Studies (CIS) is to provide Spanish, American, and other International students with a premier accredited American collegiate experience in Madrid, Spain. The CIS program provides students with a rich integrated international education experience. All CIS students develop a global perspective from our international faculty and greater competence in their second language, English or Spanish. The in and out classroom interchange of ideas between students from different cultures and different nationalities enhances the global nature of the CIS educational experience.
