Founded in 1963, The Chinese University of Hong Kong offers close to 300 undergraduate and postgraduate programs through eight faculties, namely, Arts, Business Administration, Education, Engineering, Law, Medicine, Science and Social Science. It is the only tertiary institution with a collegiate system in Hong Kong and its four constituent colleges are: New Asia, Chung Chi, United and Shaw. Students benefit from the student-orientated education offered by the Colleges. It has a population of over 20,000 students including some 3,800 international students from over 45 countries. Flexible curriculum structure, based on a credit unit system plus a strong offering in general education and language teaching, is characteristic of its programs.

Independently
a number of scholarships are available for international students. The recipients will be selected on the basis of academic merits. All applicants will automatically be considered for the scholarships once formal admission offers have been given. Applicants do not need to submit a separate application for these scholarships.
