Term
Summer, Academic Year
This intensive summer course brings together the key concepts of both photography and fashion to provide students with introductory knowledge and skills in fashion photography. We will show you how to create stunning fashion based photographs using our studios and workshops at the University College.
The main focus of the course will teach you how to light and direct models in a variety of settings and how to answer a brief from a client. You will work with industry photographers who will share their knowledge of how the business works in the UK, including how to work with model agencies. You will work both in the studio and on location, using a variety of the latest photographic studio lighting equipment. Once you understand how to set up these flexible devices, you will be able to create some amazing results. You will be given a professional brief and will work as part of a team to style your own shoot. Make-up artists and models will be available to help you achieve your desired look. The course will be delivered via a series of lectures, practical workshops, and tutorials. Additionally, the course will include visits to several prestigious photographic studios in London, that will enable students to develop their own photographic style. You will receive dedicated tuition in post-production techniques to complement their stylish images to a professional high-quality finish. You will leave the course with images that show your potential and a deeper understanding of the fashion imaging industry.
