Description

Different departments available depending on the type of the studies. The student will be part of the hotel team under a tutor or department manager instructions. Five days a week work, eight hours per day shift.

We are glad to detail our latest internship positions for the coming season:

* Groups and Events Department: this is a five star hotel with big capacity for conventions, groups, and wedding celebrations. At this department the student learn: how to quote and invoice big groups, how to deal with professionalism with groups between 100 and 800 people. They are in charge of the event from reservation, going through arrival, catering, excursions, meetings, airport transfer. This department gives the student a global view of all departments around the hotel because they have to deal with all of them to ensure the perfect internal organization to attend the group.

* Spa Reception: This is a big spa center part of a five star hotel, offering a Thalasso circuit, massages, beauty treatment and gym. The student attends reception, dealing with treatment reservations, reception of clients, information and invoices regarding all the services at the spa center.

* Animation Team: This position is offered by several hotels. For the student that have already finished their studies, we have a company offering job contract (not training agreement). With the option of job contract the students get a better salary. They have stay a minimum of 6 months. The company makes phone interviews to accept applications.

* Quality Department: This is a new department in five star hotels. They take care that every department of the hotel gets a minimum quality standards to guarantee that the clients is getting the service announce by the number of stars the hotel have. With this training, the student get to know the way each department works and the way to do it as a tourism professional. The Spanish Government has established a "Q" label that only hotels taking care of quality are able to get.

* Culinary and Restaurant: This position is offered also by different hotels (four and five star). Depending on the languages the student speaks, he/she will star helping at the bars and will keep changing to different positions at he/she will get to the best restaurant, ending as assistant maitre. Culinary internships offer aunique experience with theme buffets and gourmet restaurants of the best Spanish cuisine.

* All Around Position: a five star hotel offer this position, going around all departments at the hotel, changing every two weeks. This is also very interesting option for students who want to know the global work at a hotel.

Between or partner hotels are the main Spanish Hotel Chains as Iberostar, Sol & Melia, Vincci etc..

Qualifications

tourism and hospitality students with a good level of English and at least basic knowlege of Spanish. Minimum period of three months stay required. Accommodation and full board guarantee.
