Description

Located in central Santiago, TEFL Chile provides the standard 150 hours of coursework and combines it with hands-on community teaching experience.

The topics covered range from speaking, listening, reading, writing, and grammar. The Chicago course also includes a practicum (student teaching, tutoring, and/or observation). Our students are either scheduled at a nearby community organization for student teaching, or ESL students are brought to the TEFL Institute for tutoring. Qualifications

Applicants must be 18 years or older and be a native or fluent English speaker. A bachelor's degree or some college is preferred. Candidates should be patient, committed, enthusiastic, adventurous, open-minded, flexible, and have a true desire to see the world!

Program Fees Include:

130 hours of classroom instruction in small class sizes; areas of study include methodology and history of teaching English, in-depth English grammar, formal lesson planning, using resources in the classroom, and more.

Practicum placement for 20 hours of hands-on student teaching experience at a community organization, with full support, resources and feedback from our experienced instructors and student services team.

Lifetime job placement assistance, along with access to TEFL Institute's school contacts and alumni network around the world.
