    Do yo have plans for this summer? Tecnologico de Monterrey, Campus Monterrey wants to invite you to have a great international experience learning Spanish, culture and more in our country.

    For those students interested in learning more about ancient cultures, such as the Mayan, we have a great program that will take place in south region of Mexico. Take this opportunity to learn about a place full of traditions, folklore and historical millenary sites. Taught entirely by Tecnologico de Monterrey faculty, this program will offer you the possibility to study Spanish in combination with a Mexican Culture class.

    * Students will be taking 3 or 6 credits on this program.
    * The classes will typically be taught during the morning.

    Course: Spanish (basic and intermediate levels)

    Course: Mexican Culture (course taught in English)
    No. of Credits: 3

    The itinerary: The program will start in the city of Tuxtla Gutierrez in the state of Chiapas and will continue to the cities of Villahermosa, Palenque, San Cristobal de las Casas, Campeche, Mérida, Playa del Carmen and an optional long weekend trip to the beautiful beaches of Cancun. While taking Spanish as a Foreign Language and Mexican Culture courses.

    During the program you will enjoy different field trips and excursions that will complement your experience in Mexico. You will have the opportunity to visit the following places:

    The program includes trips and excursions to places such as:

    1. Chichen-Itza, one of the most important political, religious and commercial centers of the Mayan civilization and voted one of the 7 wonders of the modern world.

    2. The Sumidero Canyon, a spectacular natural park where you will have the opportunity to ride a boat and navigate through the canyon's impressive walls.

    3. Xcaret, an eco park that during the day offers you adventure and fun through its many activities and at night becomes the setting for experiencing Mexican culture, dances and music through a performance that will take you into a journey through time and history.

    The program fee includes:

    Tuition (6 credits) Housing for the whole mandatory program in specified hotels, transportation airport-hotel at arrival and hotel-airport at departure , transportation within the cities of the program and to extracurricular activities (except for Mexico City - Tuxtla Gutierrez if you are planning to do the optional trip to Mexico City prior to arrival), field trips and excursions to the specified sites, Health Insurance with coverage during program dates.
