Description

Operations Manager required for a port / harbour based bulk handling terminal operation in Africa. Successful candidate will be responsible for the operations teams, activities involving loading / unloading of ships / vessels / trains and stockyard management. Travel, accommodation, bonus, transport and other benefits included.

Knowledge:

* Detailed knowledge of industry, operational techniques.
* Detailed knowledge of bulk handling and Port / Terminal Operations
* Detailed knowledge of terminal operations planning and scheduling techniques.
* Detailed knowledge of computerized operations management systems.

Qualifications

Skills:

* Education to a diploma level in a management/transport related field.
* Effective communication and facilitation skills.
* Ability to manage multiple time horizons.
* High level of computer literacy including use of operational integrated MIS systems.
