The Far East and Southeast Asia region is a very popular destination for teachers who wish to experience a culture that is miles away from their own! A growing area, thanks to the growth in multinational corporations, schools in this area serve both expatriate children as well as local children whose parents understand the value of an international education.
Applicants must be fully qualified teachers and have state school teaching qualifications from the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada or U.S. such as a Bachelors or Masters of Education for Primary, or a degree + HDE/PGCE for Primary. Nothing is permanent in this fashion-filled, helter-skelter city that completely rebuilds itself every decade and vibrates with energy night and day. Every evening a tsunami of Seoulites sweeps into entertainment districts, smoky barbecue restaurants, goblin-sized teashops, plush mugwort saunas, DVD mini-cinemas and more are stacked up 10-storeys high along narrow alleys. Seoul spreads a virtually unknown culture and cuisine at your feet.
