Two-year experienced teachers are required for an international US curriculum school located on the outskirts of Abu Dhabi city. Catering for mainly local Emirati children teachers will need to demonstrate cultural tolerance. Academic standards and behavior are very good in a school that is new and modern boasting excellent facilities. The school wants teachers that are passionate and hardworking. Nationality and curriculum knowledge are considered second but applicants must be native speakers of English.

Qualifications

We recruit only qualified/certified teachers from the following countries:

Teachers must be fully trained to teach in state schools in one of these countries and possess full qualification/certification with teacher training such as a Bachelors or Masters of Education, PGCE, Higher Diploma in Education, etc. South African teachers with only a diploma of education will have very limited opportunities as most Ministries of Education require a Bachelors degree in Education, and do not like the word Diploma.

Please note that these are not jobs teaching English as a foreign language and therefore a TEFL certificate and/or non-educational Bachelors degree alone is not enough.

Salary/Pay

Salary: AED10400-17420 / month Accommodation: AED132000 housing allowance for single / AED140000 for couples. Flights and medical insurance offered to all family dependents up to 2 children. Each child receives education allowance of AED33000 on an annual basis. There is a AED40000 furniture allowance which is not paid back if 3 years are completed. 2/3 to be paid back if leaving after one year and 1/3 paid back if leaving after 2 years. A 4 year interest free loan is available for up to AED100,000. When teachers first arrive they are put up in a 5 star hotel with a food allowance (AED100 daily) for a period of 4-6 weeks during which help is given to source an appartment; the school will safety inspect chosen property and rent on behalf of the teacher.
