An excellent school in Yokohama, Japan is looking for a female Chemistry teacher for August 2012. This is a dynamic institution, with great students, an excellent staff and a supportive Board of Directors committed to excellence. In recruitment, they seek talented professionals who will share a spirit of optimism and excitement about educational development and who are eager to help the school better fulfil its mission and aims.

This school follow the international baccalaureate curriculum, so experience with this is essential. Applicants must hold a PGCE or equivalent and have at least 2 years post qualification experience. The school are one of the top paying schools in the region, offering between £3800 - £5300 per month, plus accommodation, flights, medical insurance and tuition for children.

They have close to 90 teachers on staff, representing 14 different nationalities and tremendous collective breadth and depth of experience in international education. They give strong preference for those teachers who have prior IB experience and prior international teaching experience. They can take singles, teaching couples and married teachers with dependents.

This school serves the educational needs of the international community in the greater Yokohama/Tokyo metropolitan area, in particular the children of foreign nationals, but also children of Japanese bicultural families and Japanese nationals educated overseas who are committed to an international education.

Yokohama is the capital city of Kanagawa Prefecture in Japan, Japan's largest seaport, and a commercial hub of the Greater Tokyo Area. With a population of more than 3.6 million, it is seen as Japan's second largest city second metropolis, with a breezy atmosphere, fine food, parks and historic districts, and loads of shopping. Unlike most Japanese cities, it's also a city of distinct neighbourhoods, including Chinatown, the historic Motomachi and Yamate districts, and the new seaside development of Minato Mirai 21. Yokohama is barely 20 minutes from central Tokyo, meaning that it's an easy day trip or night time excursion.

This is a superb opportunity and the school are keen to speak to suitably qualified and experienced teachers asap.
