  • Description

Extend your reach to marginalized kids in Paraguay. Your volunteering efforts will surely make a big difference.

Our partner schools are committed to transforming kids from some of the poorest backgrounds into young entrepreneurs - which means you can get involved with creating school businesses and pick up new skills in areas like organic farming as well as helping with regular educational activities! Fundacion Paraguaya is one of the leading NGOs in Paraguay. Their pioneering work cuts across the fields of education and micro-finance with programs supporting the development and needs of entrepreneurs from the classroom to the workplace.

  • Highlights

Benefits of an internship with Fundacion Paraguaya:

    1) Practical international work experience in development projects; experience working with an internationally recognized NGO in Paraguay. 2)Our sister NGO is Teach a Man to Fish, based in London, from where our models are replicated throughout the world.
    3) Opportunities to establish professional contacts and develop professional skills.
    4) Valuable experience living abroad, experiencing Paraguayan culture, improving Spanish skills and learning Guarani, Paraguay's indigenous language.
    5) Participate in important meetings and projects with the Fundacion staff.
    6) Opportunities to see and experience actual Fundacion projects (e.g. live at the Organic Agricultural School, interview the micro-finance loan recipients, and much more).

Learning by Doing: take part in the innovative approach to eliminate poverty through inclusive micro-finance and education that pays for itself.

  • Teach A Man To Fish's Mission Statement

We believe that education is the key to tackling global poverty. Our organization helps kids from poor families across Africa, Asia and South America to get the quality education they deserve. We work with schools to create new sources of income so that the poorest children can attend for free. All our students get "hands-on" involvement and learn practical skills and entrepreneurship.
