Volunteers are required to assist in the daily care of animals rescued from the illegal wildlife trade as they undergo rehabilitation prior to release back to the wild.
This centre cares for a number of very endangered macaques, native only to the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia, as well as other Indonesian animals, such as sun bears, babirusa, leopard, birds, reptiles and other primates such as orangutans and gibbons that have been confiscated from the illegal wildlife trade.
Each and every volunteer on this programme will make a difference to the lives of these endearing primates and contribute to their chances of being released back to the wild. The centre is located on the tropical island of Sulawesi in a stunning location next to the beach.
Volunteers with enthusiasm, spirit and compassion for animals are sought after to support this project. No animal experience is necessary for our standard volunteer scheme.
Vets and nurses are urgently needed to help provide professional veterinary care to our wildlife. 2 year post graduation experience is required.
Volunteers are picked-up free of charge at Manado airport
