    What are the stages of General English?

    General English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

    - For beginner to intermediate level (525 weeks)
    - Develops English listening, speaking, reading and writing skills
    - Strong focus on pronunciation and vocabulary extension

    Certificate 3 in English for Further Study

    - For intermediate learners (520 weeks)
    - Prepares you for Certificate or Diploma studies at TAFE NSW, or for university
    - Your visa requirements may also require you to sit for an IELTS test

    Advanced English

    - For upper intermediate to advanced learners (510 weeks)
    - Develops high level study skills
    - Prepares you for the IELTS test, Interpreting Diploma, or working with English speakers
    - Available at selected English centres only

    What is English for Academic Purposes?

    - Full-time preparation course for further studies at Australian tertiary institutions
    - Teaches academic writing, listening, note taking, reading comprehension, academic speech (for oral presentations and seminars) and integrated study skills
    - Includes grammar, English for social purposes, vocabulary, pronunciation and computer literacy
