The new SU Beijing Program, located at China's prestigious Tsinghua University, offers students at all language levels an opportunity to study the complexities of contemporary China across disciplines-including history and geography, political science and international relations, and communications.
Designed for both graduate and undergraduate students, the academic program features field study with on-site lectures in Beijing and other cities, language study at all levels, courses taught in English, and other options for those proficient in Mandarin.
The Beijing program begins with a two-week field study course taught on site in Xi'an, Beijing, and Shanghai, "China: Past, Present, and Future." It provides an introduction to contemporary China, its diversity of people, and the challenges of fast-track modernization.
Through lectures, guest speakers, site visits, and traveling you'll start your exploration of one of the world's oldest civilizations - its glorious past, bitter memories, and ongoing struggle with history and modernity.
