    An ideal gateway to the fascinating political landscape of the new Europe, Strasbourg is home to the Council of Europe, the European Court of Human Rights and the Parliament of the European Union, which meets monthly in the city. These institutions are just a short walk from the SU Center. You'll soon discover the equally fascinating historical and cultural layers of old Europe in this most welcoming and walk able of cities: its Roman artifacts, the massive gothic cathedral, medieval streets and bridges crossing the winding River Ill, public squares, prestigious universities, grand parks and avenues famous for their eclectic mix of architectural styles.

  • Highlights

    The Strasbourg summer program includes day trips outside the city, to Alsatian villages and the Black Forest across the Rhine River into Germany. Weekend travel by train to other countries and cities is quick and easy. Choose one or more courses from the selection below, and get ready to enjoy a summer of music, cafés and amazing cuisine at the crossroads of Europe.

    Some courses include visits, meetings, and attendance at an actual court hearing ar the Council of Europe were you will be able to get a close-up look at the workings of two major international organizations. And your professors, as practitioners with many years of experience, will provide you with unique perspectives on how to deal with human rights abuses and conflict situations.
