Description

Get an in-depth, behind-the-scenes look at the planning of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in London. An interdisciplinary investigation of critical issues (urbanization and regeneration, sustainability, environmental impact, finance, organization and delivery, security, etc.) will bee emphasized through active participation, site visits, and expert speakers. The focus will be on London's preparations as host city, with context provided through analysis of previous modern Olympics, competitions and athletes, challenges for host cities, and both political and cultural factors.
