Sweet Briar College has been committed to providing students an intensive immersion experience in Paris since 1948. Our academic programs are designed for students who have completed the equivalent of five semesters of college French and have maintained a GPA of 3.0 in French (note: a 3.5 GPA is required for spring students). Students may choose to study with us for a full year or a semester. We also offer students an intensive summer program in Paris.
Program is located in Nice, the cultural capital of the Riviera, on the forefront of theater, cinema, ballet and opera. Ideally located to explore Monaco, Provence and Italy.

The Sweet Briar Junior Year in France is the oldest coeducational intercollegiate program in Paris. Created in 1923 by the University of Delaware, the Junior Year in France has been administered by Sweet Briar College since 1948. SBC JYF in France direct enrollment at three campuses of the University of Nice/Sophia Antipolis. Courses in Liberal Arts and sciences. SBC JYF in-house courses and Ateliers in studio art also offered.
