Over the past two years, we were lucky enough to host a resident artist living and working with us at Sustainable Bolivia. His paintings grace the walls of houses, offices, cafes and galleries in Bolivia. In an effort to maintain this cultural influence and develop a tradition within our organization, Sustainable Bolivia would like to solicit a call for applicants interested in living and working in Cochabamba.
Applicants will be provided with a large furnished living space, a private studio to work in and access to art contacts in Bolivia who have already agreed to show their work. Exhibitions will occur in Cochabamba, La Paz and Santa Cruz; Bolivia's 3 largest cities. Additionally we have contacts with local and national press outlets and will work together to promote showings.
In an effort to integrate and give back to the community, the selected artist will also have the opportunity to volunteer with various art projects in Cochabamba. For a more detailed descriptions of the projects please inquire.
Due to financial restrictions, the artist will have to pay for his own room and board. Sustainable Bolivia will cover gallery fees in Cochabamba and we can see about other locations in La Paz and Santa Cruz.
How to Apply:
We are here to answer any questions, so please do not hesitate to ask. All our welcome from anywhere in the world encompassing all mediums of art.
For formal application please submit a resume with a brief cover letter and a sample of your work. Work will be reviewed by Sustainable Bolivia Art Review Board composed of local (Bolivian) and international artists.
