    Curtin University of Technology is situated in the city of Perth, the capital of Western Australia. Perth enjoys a climate similar to California and is a modern city with a low cost of living. Curtin University is Australia's leading university of technology in the region. The Australian Government ranked the university as one of the top universities for quality assurance in Higher Education. Students can choose from more than 365 courses in most areas of study. Semesters typically run from late February to late June and late July to the end of November.

    College credits:
    12 - 15 undergraduate credits may be earned per semester. For further questions contact the Center for International Programs at SUNY New Paltz.

    Qualifications:
    Students who are second-semester Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors at the time of application and in good academic standing with an above average academic record are eligible. A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 is required for admission to the program.

    Accommodations:
    Students can choose to live off-campus in and around Perth, but most Study Abroad students choose to live in one of the six on-campus residences. Accommodation is in apartments or "cottages" with separate bedrooms, shared kitchens and living areas. This communal living gives you the chance to meet people, make friends and experience Australian student life.

    Language of Instruction :
    All classes will be taught in English.

    Financial Aid:
    Students may apply for financial aid at their home campus financial aid office. Financial aid deferrals may be applied toward tuition and program fee only.

    Health Insurance:
    All students are required to have approved insurance coverage while studying abroad.
