Description

This fall or spring semester program provides opportunities to gain work experience in a UK organization and undertake academic study at the same time. Students are able to familiarize themselves with the work environment, enhance their skills and career prospects, earn academic credit, and make an active contribution to the organization in which they are placed. Internships last 12 weeks in the spring or fall semester and normally take place over one day per week. Students will also take other university courses(please see Middlesex University program for details).

Middlesex University is a large, dynamic university in North London, with 23,000 students studying in more than one hundred subject areas. Middlesex was a pioneer in providing opportunities for supervised work experience and today offers one of the widest ranges of internships in the UK. To participate in the London Internship program you must also enroll in the Middlesex University program.

Qualifications

All university students are welcome to participate in this program and in the past students from Europe, the United States, Japan and India have benefited from the experience. Previous work experience is not required although, in some instances, specialist internships may require background knowledge (e.g. an internship dealing with sports injury would require previous study of physical health). Participants must have a high level of English language (IELTS 7.0 or equivalent) and be motivated, flexible individuals who are capable of working on their own initiative. Individual skills will be carefully matched to the project needs of companies and organizations.
