St. Norbert College - ESL Institute

Hello everyone, I studied English at SNC on ESL program during fall semester in 2001. It's been a pleasure for me to be a part of this school. I can tell you that only professionals teach and work there. My English has improved tremendously. I am very thankful to all my teachers and especially to all people who organized ESL program. It is impossible to express what you feel and what you get from this program, but I am pretty sure that if you go to SNC ESL program you won't be disappointed. If you want to study English you better go to SNC on ESL program and it will be guaranteed that your English will become fluent. ESL program helped me to enter SNC and attend regular classes. I graduated from SNC in 2004. I got a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. I can assure you that without ESL program I wouldn't be able to graduate from SNC or any other university. Thank you very much ESL teachers and other staff for what you've done for me. It's been a beautiful time in my life. Nice people, pleasant atmosphere, in other words - SNC ESL PROGRAM is the best place where you can improve your English. Best wishes, Alexander Doroshenko

St. Norbert College-ESL program is my started point in U.S. Now I am studying 4 years college program in St.Norbert so it was good time to be used to College in U.S. Because we use same building with college classes, we have a chance to make American friends and feel naturally fitting in American life. For me, St. Norbert ESL program was very helpful to prepare for college life. Of course my english skill improved. Especially writing class was great. Once you finish Advanced writing class, you are ready for college level writing. When I took the college course the first time and got first paper assignment, I did not feel any difficulty to write. Well, still I am struggling with my grammer....but except that, most professors give me well grade for paper. Not only writing skill.... I could learn presentation skill too. So mostly I learned survival skill for college classes. And...I can have friendship family which is like host family but not living together. We spend time together sometime when we have time and share American traditional culture. So we have a chance to know what american family is like. Fortunately, still I am keeping in touch with my friendship family. Every year I have the thanksgiving and easter dinner with them. Otherwise I go to their house and cook pie together. Anyway, they are my another parent in U.S. I think friendship family is the biggest appreciate thing for St.Norbert ESL.

St. Norbert College 's English as a Second Language Program is more than a learning experience, is an adventure. St. Norbert gives you the opportunity of not only practicing your English in the classes that the program offers, but also to challenge yourself of practicing your English around campus, with your American neighbors and friends that you will made on your time here. Here, you can develop your writing, listening, reading and speaking skills, with a group of teachers that will always be willing to help. In addition, the campus facilities and infrastructure will make your stay more comfortable and enjoyable. In my personal opinion, the students leaving this program besides learning a second language, they are learning about other cultures,countries and above all, having a wonderful time !
