Spanish World Institute aims to provide high quality and effective Spanish courses and a deeper understanding of the Colombian culture, through cross-cultural education, personalized attention and dynamic teaching methods in a professional and friendly environment.
The School is situated in Chapinero Alto, a beautiful residential part of Bogota. It is located in a Colonial house specially refurbished to provide a suitable academic environment without losing its originality and style. SWI is very near to tourist, cultural and business areas. The School is close to homestay accommodation, recreation facilities and numerous shops and restaurants and shopping centers. The School is also easily accessible by buses from any part of the city.
Our teachers are selected on the basis of their qualifications, experience and personal qualities. The School aims to employ university graduates with highly-developed communication skills who will take an active interest in their students progress.
Our spanish courses look for a deeper understanding of the Colombian culture, through cross-cultural education, personalized attention and dynamic teaching methods in a professional and friendly atmosphere and voluntary programmes.

General Spanish courses will start every Monday. Students can take classes for as little as one week up to an indefinite period of time.
The daily schedule consists of 4 hours of class, with a brief break in the middle of each session, for a total of 20 hours of class time each week.
The teachers ensure that course work is relevant to our students' interests and objectives, utilizing a wide range of techniques and materials to vary the pace and variety of the spanish classes.

Spanish World Institute was established in 2006 and is one of the most successful Spanish language schools in Bogota, set in a Colonial house specially refurbished to provide a suitable academic environment without losing its originality. With spacious classrooms,cafeteria, video facilities,computers with free internet access and a library it offers a very complete range of facilities for students to improve their language kills. Spanish Courses are carefully structured, classes will include the functions of grammar, reading, oral comprehension, written and oral expression (communication) exercises, as well as cultural activities. Some classes will discuss various aspects of Colombian and Latin American culture and society, students will be learning the language in the context of our culture. At other times SWI will organize classes around themes or subjects that students personally find interesting. All teachers are native speakers and hold university degrees. They ensure that course work is relevant to our students' interests and objectives, utilizing a wide range of techniques and materials to vary the pace and variety of the Spanish classes.
