  • Description

Social commitment is in great demand! In Peru the social differences are still very big. There is a huge gap between rich and poor people. Many families live in poverty and are dependant on external help. Sick and handicapped children are often repudiated, do not have a home and as a consequence have to stay at hospitals or children's homes. Many old people live in nursing homes or on the streets. Many sick people do not have the money to pay for the necessary surgery or medical treatment.

Additionally to our Spanish courses in Cusco we provide volunteer work positions.

You can either combine your Spanish course with the volunteer work and do half-day volunteering or you schedule the volunteer experience after the Spanish course is completed.

Volunteering, alongside with helping people in need, allows you to practice your Spanish in real life situations and you can train your newly acquired skills.

In co-operation with different social institutions and non-profit organizations we offer various voluntary work projects in Cusco. You will meet people in special situations who will be very thankful for your help, and will also enjoy your company and learning about your home country.

This learning and cultural experience will be unforgettable.

    The Spanish & Volunteer itinerary:

    1. You will start with your Spanish course in Cusco to improve your Spanish and to get used to your host country.
    2. We introduce you to your volunteer sites.
    3. You will start right after the end of your Spanish program or you may also volunteer in your free time during your Spanish program (such as in the afternoon).
    4. You will receive your diploma for your Spanish courses and a volunteer certification at the end of your program.
    5. The school is your casa and you are always welcome to use the Internet there or to stop by for any help that you may need during the whole time of your stay.

  • Qualifications

Our programs are addressed to people - whether students, professionals or retirees - who do not want to explore Latin America as a mere tourist rather than living a real life experience that goes beyond the ordinary!

More important than technical skills and work experience is your attitude and will to help people in need. You should be open-minded and be interested in foreign cultures and life styles.

Your work tasks depend on the volunteer position and of course you can tell us the work field that you are most interested in (e.g. working with kids, adults, homeless, animals,...etc.)
