Often times rural schools are not able to fulfill their basic English requirements due to a lack of well trained English teachers. Help these school programs by creating a dynamic learning environment, develop teaching materials and teach classes purely in English.
The academic responsibilities may vary according to the area of your expertise. Volunteer-teachers are expected to be creative as well as adaptive to the school's existing curriculum and methodology. You should also entail a strong sense of integrity as you will be expected to role model mutual respect for all.
Though much independence is needed to be a teacher at this school, rest assured the school's staff will guide you during the school year.
With 4.5 million inhabitants and a surface area of approximately 19.000 sq. miles, Costa Rica is one of the smallest countries and most densely populated with wildlife in Central America.
The purpose of this program is to provide the rural school with English classes. Kids and teenager will have better possibilities at the competitive labor market if they have at least some English language skills which can be improved step by step.
The organization that represents this school is dedicated to holistic picture of wildlife protection, environmental conservation, and fostering positive cultural exchanges through education. It serves as an animal rescue center, Spanish school and volunteer center.
