Live and work abroad in Spain.. become an Au Pair! This is the perfect experience for experiencing the Spanish culture, learning the language, and EARNING a paycheck! Placements are in Madrid, Seville, Barcelona, Malaga, and Santander.
Students from around the world find Spain to be an exceptional place to live and learn a language that is already spoken by more than 400 million people around the world. You can use the Au Pair Spain program either as an add-on before or after your semester abroad, a stop in your gap year, or for a summer paid job abroad.
As an Au Pair in Spain you will work 30 hours a week. Your schedule is based on the family's needs and will differ with each placement. A usual day will be 5 to 6 hours of work. The week will most likely be 6 days of work with 1 day off or 5 days of work with 2 days off, depending on the hours worked each day. Au Pairs will watch the child for up to two evenings per week. You may be requested to extend your work schedule during school holidays. In that case your Host Family will pay you extra. During summer months you may also be asked to join the family on their vacation!
Au Pairs can begin their stay on any given date, depending on existing vacancies and experience.
What's Included?
- All food and accommodation; including your own private room
- Airport pick-up; exact arrival date in Spain will be agreed and confirmed by your Host Family.
- Weekly pay of 70 to 80 Euros ($90 to $110 USD) per week, dependent upon location
- Welcome package via email; including information on public transportation, things to do in Madrid and contact details for other Au Pairs in your area
- In-country assistance and advice during your stay in Spain
- Au Pair Social Program with such discounted activities as: day trips, nights out, wine and tapas tastings, full day excursions, weekend trips, etc. (Additional cost)

- 1 week of paid vacation after a 6 month placement
