Through this intensive language program, students can rapidly improve their French language ability. Students experience full language immersion through instruction at L'Institute Catholique de Toulouse, interdisciplinary seminars and homestays in French communities.
Students interact with French scholars, community members, local organizers, and arts groups. The program's Community Service Project provides students an opportunity to increase language skills while giving back to the host community.
The program is based in Toulouse, France's second-largest urban university area. Toulouse is home to a world-class arts and cultural scene and is situated between the Pyrenees Mountains and Mediterranean Sea. Students also undertake several excursions outside Toulouse, including to the Pyrenees Orientales along the French-Spanish border.
Educational excursions to Paris, Lot region and the Pyrenees. Twelve-week homestay in Toulouse and ten days in a Pyrenees village.

A pioneer in experiential, field-based study abroad, SIT offers semester, summer, and academic year programs for undergraduate students in Africa, Asia and the Pacific, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East, as well as comparative programs in multiple locations.
Programs focus on critical global issues in specific geographical and cultural contexts using an interdisciplinary approach. Studying with host country faculty and living with families, students gain a deep appreciation for local cultures and become immersed in diverse topics ranging from the politics of identity to post-conflict transformation, from global health to environmental policy.
