Description

The Pre-'O' Level Certificate Programme is an intensive, 3-month, full-time course that is intended for students who have not completed their Junior Secondary/Junior High School level studies and who wish to further their education in Singapore.

The main aim of the course is to prepare students thoroughly for entry onto a standard 12 or 18-month Edexcel GCE 'O' Level programme.

How is it conducted?
During the 3-month course, students study a total of 3 subjects, including English and Maths as core subjects plus one option from IT, Science and Chinese.

The choice of these areas of study reflects the fact that all potential follow-on courses require students to possess a high level of numeracy, to have a good grounding in English being able to communicate their ideas effectively, both orally and in writing, and to have a good understanding of the world in which they live. The option to study Information Technology and Commerce reflect current trends and increasing demands for finance and technological expertise.
