  • Description

We run a small veterinary dispensary in Mamallapuram / South India and we have started an ABC (Animal Birth Control) project for stray dogs and cats.

At the moment "we" means a veterinary nurse from the UK and myself, an animal lover from Switzerland who has sponsored the dispensary with the help of some donations from friends. This allows us to run the dispensary, but not a full time veterinary doctor.

  • Highlights

Mamallapuram is a small town 60 km south of Chennai on the Koromandel Coast in Tamil Nadu. Due to its archaeological importance the temple district of Mamallapuram was classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985.

This makes Mamallapuram one of the most famous tourist attractions of South India.

There are many interesting sites in the village itself and its surroundings. Day trips to places like Kanchipuram (centre of silk making), Auroville, Pondicherry, and many more are most common among tourists.

A huge and wild beach makes the place even more attractive for good swimmers and sun lovers.
