Description

The Semilla Verde Galapagos guesthouse comprises two spacious and unique holiday homes; the upper levels comprising the Semilla Verde Lodge, and at ground level, the Semilla Verde Garden Rooms. These comfortable homes utilize local materials such as timber and lava rock to create a rustic ambience in keeping with their environment. They also provide all the essentials for comfortable, modern living and are practical and tastefully decorated with original artwork.

SEMILLA VERDE LODGE

The Semilla Verde Lodge spans the two upper levels of the property, featuring three spacious en-suite bedrooms. Each has direct access to a private balcony. The main living area on the first floor comprises a large open plan lounge with stone fireplace, dining room and kitchen. A large south facing terrace offers spectacular views over surrounding farmland, Galapagos National Park and Galapagos Marine Reserve to Floreana Island.

Room 1 - second floor: A rustic wooden staircase leads to this extra spacious south-facing bedroom with a queen-size bed, wooden flooring, wall-to-wall sliding glass doors to the south, private balcony, en-suite bath / shower room and walk-through wardrobe. Windows offer views to the north, south, east and west.
Extras: TV & multi-region DVD (with USB & memory card inputs), air conditioning and ceiling ventilation fans.

Room 2 - first floor: This south-facing room has access to a private terrace via sliding, glass doors to the south, queen-sized bed, en-suite bath / shower room. Windows offer views the the south, east and west. Extras: TV & multi-region DVD (with USB & memory card inputs), air conditioning and ceiling ventilation fans. This bathroom can also be used as a communal bathroom if required by family or groups, without compromising the privacy of the bedroom.

Room 3 - first floor: This west-facing room has access to a private terrace via wall-to-wall sliding glass doors to the west, queen-sized bed or twins, en-suite shower room. Windows offer views to the north, east and west. Extras: TV & multi-region DVD, air conditioning and ceiling ventilation fans.

SEMILLA VERDE GARDEN ROOMS

The main lodge includes an apartment at garden level that can serve for larger family or tour groups. It features three en-suite bedrooms Rooms 3-6, each with air conditioning, TVs, DVD players, and beautiful views to either the sea or the flower gardens and Scalesia forest. Bedrooms all lead off the main lounge.

An open plan lounge, with dining and kitchen areas lead onto a large, private terrace and grass lawn that has a small water fountain and views to the sea in the south and sunset in the west and direct access to the nature trails. The lounge features a large LCDTV & DVD and internet via WiFi.

Location

There are no international flights directly to the Galapagos Islands, which is itself a province of the Republic of Ecuador. You will need to fly to Quito, the capital of Ecuador or Guayaquil, the financial center, and then take an internal flight to Galapagos. This usually necessitates an overnight stay on the mainland.
