Sea English Academys Certificate IV in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) is widely known and respected around the world. This teacher training course includes all the elements of highly effective teaching and learning methods. It is a practical course consisting of lectures, workshops and hands-on teaching. At the end of the course you will be equipped to teach English as a second language at any level. TESOL is offered as a full time, intensive, or correspondence course.
What does the program involve?
This program combines face-to-face delivery, self-study and group work. Participants will observe experienced ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) teachers and participate in teaching practice with ESOL learners at various levels.

Course Delivery:
This Certificate IV in TESOL (Nationally Accredited Course Code: 30737QLD) is 220 hours course and available in several delivery modes: Full Time, Intensive and Correspondence. The course is taught through the use of prescribed reading texts, assignments and a teaching practicum. Please remain that a correspondence course affords you a great deal of flexibility as it allows other commitments to be met while studying. However to succeed in the correspondence course you will need to be self motivated and disciplined. You need to make sure you study at an even pace and avoid procrastinating when working on assignments.
Requirements to Receive Qualification and Exit Points:
Sea English Academy will issue a certificate IV in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) to trainees who successfully demonstrate competency in all units of the Certificate IV in TESOL with a Certificate of Qualification.

Entry Requirements
Applicants must provide evidence of an ability to undertake studies at an appropriate tertiary level in English. This usually means applicants have graduated from Grade 11 or equivalent. If applicants have not completed this education they are encouraged to complete appropriate schooling prior to undertaking this course. Alternatively, adult entry requirements are applied, i.e. work and life experiences are taken into account.
