Conservation In Bahia, Brazil

Location

Brazil: Trancoso

Description

This brand new programme promises to be absolutely amazing! We have different activities planned for each day of the week, each of them an important step toward the restoration of the Atlantic Rain Forest.
Mondays and Tuesdays are spent deep inside the rain forest, climbing on trees to collect seeds as well as cataloguing native species, both significant parts of conservation work. Wednesday is spent at a local seed nursery, where you will help plant some of the seeds you collected. On Thursday we move on to Monte Pascoal National Park, where the most important part of our conservation work takes place. There you will plant saplings into the ground, contributing to make this part of the rain forest just a little bit bigger! You will have the option of spending the night in the indigenous territory that borders the park or return to Trancoso for a weekend of fun. Then, the following Monday the work starts all over again.
