Build Homes in Bahia, Brazil

Location

Brazil: Salvador, Trancoso

Description

Although the constant increase in the number of wealthy visitors has brought benefits to Trancoso, it also has caused the cost of living becomes too high for many families who have not benefited from tourism. Some of these families live in deplorable conditions, in houses that need urgent intervention. You can help them improve their quality of life through our construction programme.

Our volunteers will build/ improve the homes of six of the many families referred to Scope Institute by the community because of the critical situations they find themselves in. Earning about USD 100/ month in a town where living costs have raised considerably as a result of increasing tourism, they are unable to pull themselves out of these situations without the help of our volunteers.
