  • Description

    Take General and Spanish Courses at Universidad Catolica de Guayaquil, which Spanish for Foreigners Program has over 10 years educating international undergraduate students. Engage prominent local and regional leaders in small-group conferences and lectures, especially tailored for program participants. Our lecturers include a former President of Ecuador, journalists, renowned writers and decision-makers, politicians, educators, volunteer work specialists, environmentalists and thinkers.

    Program participants will be able to intern and volunteer at highly-praised local entities and companies. All students will live in upper-class residences and neighborhoods among other foreign scholars. Most students will have one roommate. Housing services and amenities, are included. End of program two-week trip through Ecuador included in most program options, along with weekend excursions, field trips and adventure travel. Travel insurance is included. The program is sold in an all-inclusive package in twelve duration options. Limited scholarships are available.

  • Qualifications

    Study Abroad Program requirements:
    - Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors
    - Minimum GPA: 2.80
    - Student must have passed at least one Spanish course at home institution
    - To take courses dictated fully in Spanish students must have 4 passed language courses

    Required documents:
    - Program Application
    - Certified transcript
    - One letter of recommendation from a faculty member
    - Copy of driver´s license or passport

    Additionally, to apply to any of the internship opportunities you must attach:
    - Resume (in English)
    - Statement of Purpose (in English)

    The selection process includes phone interviews.
