We have drastically changed our lives. After we worked for a long time in education and banking, we wanted to really do something else. After spending a holiday in Sweden we knew it: Sweden is our country. In January 2007 we bought Salbohed Garden. This 12,5 ha big property with old 5 buildings is situated in a beautiful woodland surrounding in the province Vastmanland. This province is made up of different areas with their own typical things that make it Swedish. You can say Vastmanland is a small version of Sweden. The surroundings are magical every time of the year. Sweden with his charming small red houses and big farmland, the beautiful nature, lakes and animals. In the winter, from November has every house a light for each window. Its like you're driving trough a Christmas card. Its like a fairytale.

Not only the surroundings, but also the building give a special feeling to Salbohed Garden. The “Officers House” is from the year 1818, and it tells its own history. There only two such buildings left in Sweden, and Salbohed is noted in the historical books. In the past it was an officers’ house but now it has become our unique Bed & Breakfast (Hotel). In the morning, when you look out your window, you can see the dears walking. When you're enjoying breakfast in the officers House by the fire, you can see outside the birds playing. Every day when you're walking in the wood, you're surprised so many different kind of birds you see. Its relax and enjoy. This place is a warm place. Johan and Wilma have captured the simple beauty and warm hospitality of Sweden in Salbohed.

Our B & B (Hotel) lays central in Sweden, a good hour’s drive from Stockholm. Our beautiful spacious rooms, apartments and conference rooms await you. We also offer you a lot off activities. In the main building we offer sauna, and WiFi (wireless internet) is available in all buildings. At arrival you’ll be warmly greeted and perhaps the fire is burning for you. You will feel you at home very fast. A delicious breakfast will be served.

4. Continue onto Route 273
5. Take the exit onto E4 toward Sundsvall/Uppsala
6. Take exit 188
7. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Bärbyleden/Route 55/Route 72 heading to Strängnäs

Go through 1 roundabout
8. Turn right onto Route 72
9. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Ringgatan
Go through 2 roundabouts
10. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Vasteråsleden
11. Turn right onto Fagerstavägen/Route 256
12. Keep right at the fork

13. Turn right onto Kopparbergsvägen
