Pat has been showing students around Asia for the last twelve years; his knowledge of the region, enthusiasm for the places he visits, zany sense of humor, and huge smile have made him a legend among our students.

The Brightest Lights in Asia
The trip kicks off in high gear with a visit to Japan, where you will take in the sights of one of the world's most modern and high-tech cities Tokyo. Shop at some of the city's most famous markets, tour the region's best-known sites, and partake in the wide range of activities at Odaiba, Tokyo's legendary shopping and entertainment district! From Tokyo, swing down to Singapore for an evening at Marina Bay, where you will experience the lively vibe of Singapore on a Saturday night! It will not take you long to appreciate the diverse cultures of this city-state, and you will want to snap some memorable photos with your new friends at The Bay.

The Faces and Places of Vietnam
From Singapore, the journey continues to Vietnam, were you begin your in-depth survey of the country in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), the largest city in Vietnam. Marvel at the mind-boggling traffic systems, see the modern facade of this fast-growing capital, and head out of town to discover the Cu Chi Tunnels and other fascinating historical sites of this region. Next, catch a flight up to Hoian to soak up the sun on some of Vietnam's most beautiful beaches before visiting Hanoi, the capitol of the country and taking a cruise through Ha Long Bay.

Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Macau
After exploring the highlights of Vietnam, you will return to Bangkok and share some time with a few of Rustic Pathways' awesome Thai staff. You will visit Bangkok's modern Siam Square, the country's biggest Water Park, Suan Samphan Elephant and Crocodile Farm, and Safari World.
The last stop of the trip will bring you to glittering Hong Kong, one of the brightest cities in all of Asia, and historic Macau. Try your hand at bargaining on Nathan Road and immerse yourself in the buzz of the Temple Street Bazaar. Spend a night overlooking the breathtaking landscapes and dazzling city lights that stretch out below the world-famous Victoria's Peak. At Macau, you will wander the cobbled streets as you learn about the island's history, savor the views from atop the Macau Sky Tower, and test your courage with an optional bungee jump from over 700 feet!

Throughout the journey, Pat will make sure you have the best experience possible. Prepare to make impromptu stops for ice cream and fruit shakes, spend time playing with the cutest babies you can find, and feast on delicious meals. You will not want to say goodbye to Pat when the time comes to head for home!
