Join us on a journey through the incredible world of India! Women in vibrant saris fill your camera frames, vendors bargain in the city marketplaces, and a colorful mix of cultures and religions blends together. India is the perfect place for a photography adventure, and whether you are a seasoned pro or still getting used to the feel of your camera, our experienced photography leaders will help you develop and expand your skills. From the bustling city streets of Delhi to the nomadic, yak-herding villages of Northern India, your trip will introduce you to cosmopolitan cities and rural hamlets on a hunt for the perfect image.
A Captivating Capital
From the holy waters of the Bangla Sahib Sikh Temple to the walls of the Red Fort, you will learn about the fascinating history of Delhi, India's capital city and discover how to use its limitless subject matter as a starting point for your photography. You will venture into the city's legendary marketplaces, and our staff will help you make unforgettable images while giving you pointers on how to bargain like a true Delhiite.
Nomads and Mountain Villages
After exploring the colorful tapestry of religions and cultures in Delhi, you will head off to the majestic Himalayan peaks of Northern India. Explore the Ladakhi and Buddhist cultures of this region and learn to take stunning images that tell the stories of these ancient lands. Get ready to live like a local as you move in with a welcoming host family during a visit to a Changpa yak-herding village. Known affectionately as Little Tibet, this area of Northern India is a cultural melting pot. Explore centuries-old monasteries, share laughs with novice monks, and delve deep into the mysteries of these amazing places all while creating unforgettable photographs.
Top it Off with the Taj
What better way to conclude your Indian adventure than with a breathtaking sunrise at the Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the modern world? You will use the photography skills you have learned throughout the trip to take a lasting image of this incredible sight. No visit to India is complete without a trip to this majestic monument, and it will be the perfect way to cap off your photo adventure!
Let the Photo Trail Continue
After sharpening your photography skills consider continuing your Indian adventure on one of our week-long community service programs. You could join the Lost Children of India program for a chance to volunteer at a local orphanage, or lend a hand on service projects while living on a traditional houseboat on the Spectacular Kerala Backwaters program. For a more immersive experience, consider the North Indian Cultural Experience or Service in the Clouds programs.
