Village Service on the Edge of Ngorongoro Crater
Timeless beauty and welcoming people make Tanzania the perfect place to discover the African continent. Come learn about this vibrant country's colorful cultures, work on several rewarding community and environmental service projects, and enjoy the incredible sights and sounds of Africa in a remote and spectacular area. From the brilliant sunrises that greet you each morning to the light of a million stars that brightens the evening sky, this secluded and spectacular corner of Africa will truly take your breath away.
Mongola Juu
You'll become a part of the community as you work closely with village leaders and elders to design service projects that will improve basic living conditions and learning environments. You may help rebuild the Mongola Juu Primary School, which was damaged in an earthquake in 2007, or help revitalize underprivileged areas of local communities. You'll paint, landscape, tutor children, and help with water purification in the village. Prepare to get your hands dirty, learn about life in Tanzania, engage with the locals, and become a part of the daily routine here.
Safari Getaway
To complete your Tanzanian getaway, you will take a trip to Ngorongoro Crater, one of the country's most incredible natural wonders. The verdant paradise inside this crater is a thriving ecosystem of lush forests, vast grasslands, a freshwater lake, and some 25,000 wild animals, including lions, zebras, elephants, and gazelles. It is also the traditional home of the Masaai, who live both within the crater and around its rim. Take a thrilling ride through the crater in search of Africa's famous Big Five game animals lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo and rhinos and learn about Masaai customs and traditions.
