RUWDHI welcome any individual, group or organizations to their Hospitality Home to help improve the living condition and provide support for the children. Recognizing for the past years how important the child is for the full development of his or her personality needs a home of tender care, love and affection so that he/she can be self reliant and responsible in the society.
This volunteer program is networking with individuals and organization with inspirational and motivational spirit to help unearth and develop the potential of the needy and less privileged, in the communities and villages in and around Ghana, to reach their full potentials.

* Where a volunteer can work
The volunteer can work in these areas: in the Classroom, Healthcare centers, farms, Disabled homes, Music and Dance, Drama, Sports, Information Technology, Art and Craft, Moral and Religious Studies and what have you.
Volunteers will be assisted by the field teachers for a smooth running of their works. In the course of your teaching or work you are all allowed to come up with your own teaching activities and other teaching aids.
Organized international internship, self studies and self project are available which helps you make a great difference in the life on people in the community.

4. Micro Credit project for mothers and guidance of Orphan and Vulnerable respectively.

As part of effort towards creating opportunity for young people, RUWDHI offers international internship program, independent studies and independent study project for potential foreign students who wish to contribute their small effort toward poverty in Africa.
The organization organizes a get-together (party) for volunteers after every successful end of volunteer placement. With us every end of volunteer's placement means success. So every volunteer is given a certificate of participation and an organizational t-shirt for recognition of hard work.
Frequently Asked Question:
* Do I need a Visa?
Yes: all you need to do is contact the Ghanaian embassy or high commission near you. The cost of the visa varies from country to country. Please do request for a Tourist Visa.
* Is there access to internet or any means of communication?
Yes: there are the spread of internet cafes in majority of the towns and cities. Cost charged vary from one internet cafe to the other and (ranges between 6 pesewa to 1 Ghana cedis) it is under 1 dollar and 1 euro. There are other call centers where one can make a call or pay for a phone to phone service where it is charged per the minute spent.
* What should I bring along?
You can come along with your medication like malaria pills, pain killers, cream for itches and a first aid kit. You will be needing some personal stuff like towels, mosquito repellent, sun cream, bathing suit, mosquito nets, sheet for bed, any preferred toiletries and any other thing you may need in your daily activities.
* How is the work like?
It varies on your placement. The normal working hours for most workers is eight (8) hours. But being a volunteer your time will be limited. You are advised to take initiative and also be creative. This will enhance your working ability. You need to also be patient when teaching as things you teach may sometimes take time to be understood by the pupils.
* How do I access my money?
Visa cards can be used in some banks and ATM machines across the country. Master cards and travelers exchequer are also accessible in some banks in the country. Money transfer can be acceptable in some banks, post office and other authorized dealers in Ghana. Volunteers are advised to change currencies at the arrival hall at the airport for the first time.
* Is it possible for me to travel?
You can travel after your volunteer period or better still in between your works all depending on schedule of work. There are great tourist attractions to visit like the water falls, canopy walk way at Kakum National Park, beaches, mountains and what have you. The organization offers organized tour trips at a reasonable price.
* What should you bring with for the kids as gift?
Things are not limited for the kids. Things like Second hand clothes, Shoes (all sizes for boys and girls), Reading books, Kindergarten material, Paints, Watches, Sports equipments (football, handballs, volleyballs), Second hand toys, Multivitamins, Pens, Colored Pencils, Dictionaries, Coloring books, Calculators, Erasers, Pencil sharpeners, Baby formula, Simple musical instruments, or Water colors paints.
Fund Raising:
Volunteers are encouraged to do fund raising so that they would be able to pay for their trip and help in the project here. The organization is ready to assist with any help to be able to support your course like a fund raising letter and activities of program to be held so that you can solicit some money from churches, companies, co-workers and friends, and these funds will be used to support the charity activities of the organization.
