  • Description

Rocky Mountain Escape offers private, hand-crafted log cabin accommodation and a variety of year-round, nature-oriented activities (hiking, horseback riding, canoeing, whitewater rafting, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing). The 'Escape cabins are located in a secluded, sub alpine valley adjacent to Jasper National Park and vast, undeveloped Willmore Wilderness. We cater to folks looking for a quiet, scenic, non-touristy spot from which to enjoy our mountain environment.

Volunteer Opportunity: During our peak season (June 1 to October 1), I require help with the day-to-day operations of the facility. Volunteer duties are dependent upon volunteer aptitude and capability, may include housekeeping, daily chores, guiding interpretive day hikes, guest transportation. Volunteer room and board is provided at no charge, as is transportation to the 'Escape from Hinton, Alberta.

  • Highlights

The volunteer opportunity at Rocky Mountain Escape is ideally suited for an individual looking to experience the Canadian Rocky Mountains in a natural environment. Hiking opportunities are abundant, and volunteers may also be able to participate in horseback riding, canoeing and whitewater rafting.
