Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world, with over half of the population living below the poverty line and an average daily income of less than 30 pence.
Based in Monkey Bay, on the southern shore of Lake Malawi, you will play a vital role in teaching children how to play different games and community sports including football and netball, as well as the opportunity to get involved with community projects. Your work will help the development of health and well being to the young children of Malawi.
Volunteer Role
You can provide assistance in a number of different project areas, based in the Monkey Bay area of Lake Malawi:
* Organize after-school sporting events such as clubs, tournaments and matches
* Work with local sports teams to assist coaches and gain good coaching experience
* Provide support in the community - teach academic subjects in the mornings such as English, math or vocational skills or get involved with a local orphanage, building projects or in the tree nursery.
