  • Description

    Intense project work and development ranging from being involved in the international Charleville Castle Management Team, Sustainable Conservation, Event Management & Implementation, PeaceZone Activities and Organisation, Meeting with public and providing hospitality, to mention but a few.

  • Highlights

    Total immersion into Ireland's only volunteer driven castle and education campus. This is a highly famous project with years of successful volunteer and internship involved - here leaders are discovered.

  • Qualifications

    At least two years of college or university studying any discipline but committed to inter-disciplinary and multicultural experience with high end action-learning approach. capability of self-discipline and self-financing. Commitment to start and complete the internship/volunteership mission to the best of ability. Willingness to study the opportunity in advance and to egage with Irish faculty/leaders prior to commencement. Declaration of any reservations or disabilities, with willingness to work collaboratively to overcome such obstacles. Stated interest in developing personal leadership skills and team-based action. Declared interest in Global challenges and local responses - sustainable development, new renewable energy systems, appropriate technology, peace keeping and conflict resolution - engineering, business and arts.

  • Program Fees Include:

    Costs depend on final arrangement. All interns and volunteers are placed directly at Charleville Castle near Dublin. But for many this will be the home base but they will be working at other locations in Dublin and elsewhere. We will work with all applicants to agree to a full budget. Applicants can opt out of some services when feasible thereby reducing costs or choosing to cover costs directly or as they arise. Flexibility is the key.

    This is a not for profit program - cost recovery is all that is required.

    There is no "typical" volunteer per se. But successful applicants are normally seeking to gain work experience, work placement or internship credits. Volunteers normally come to Quest campus because of our reputation for nurturing and releasing latent leadership skills. Veterans of quest campus go on to advance rapidly in their careers. This is an intense high commitment opportunity with solid Global sustainability goals.
