Not a great education, but lots of freedom to travel and go out. Studied about one hour / week until finals, and so had a great opportunity to experience Europe.

I had a good chance to explore Europe without worrying about grades. :) Academically the courses were fine. The school was very much a "suitcase school" - a lot of people lived in the London suburbs and would go home on the weekends.

I thoroughly enjoyed my study abroad experience. I was lucky to live with an English student who I became close to and allowed me to become more integrated with the English culture. I liked the premise of the English academic system but was underwhelmed by the academic atmosphere at the school. However, if presented with the choice to study abroad again, I would not change my decision to attend Queen Mary.

London is a great city, but QMUL (Queen Mary, Univ. of London) happens to be nestled on Mile End, which is essentially Inwood crossed with Islamabad -- (And that's not a compliment). The dorms are all freshmen housing, so it's best to plan ahead and get an apartment. And buyer beware -- London sure 'aint cheap.
