Bring your teaching skills to those in need in this South American country. Teach English, Math or your specialty subject to local children in Peruvian communities. Lend a hand to local schools or communities to further develop a program-specific literacy, math, or other educational project. Other subjects include art education, computers, health/life skills, and youth sports.
The focus of your teaching project is determined by your skills and the needs of the local youth and community members. In addition to hands on teaching experience you will take part in weekly adventures and cultural activities in our peaceful host communities.
Programs are highly supported by an onsite staff team and welcoming community partners. ProWorld, founded in 1998, is a true leader in the fields of study abroad and international development.
Teams of ProWorld Project Coordinators work year round with our host communities assessing needs, thinking creatively, and setting long-term goals for sustainable development and volunteer projects. Programs start every month of the year. Enroll now!
Real projects...real experience! Work side by side with local teachers and youth during your NGO internship.
Excursions include weekly adventure and cultural activities, tour of the Sacred Valley and Incan ruins, remote community cultural events, and exploring high Andean forests.
Take the time to also watch the sun rise over Machu Picchu! Adventures combined with cultural excursions and productive volunteer work form a comprehensive and unique volunteer experience.
All participants must have an adventurous spirit. Development projects are determined by the interests and skills of participants and the needs of the local community. Participants may need intermediate Spanish skills depending on the type of internship.
