    Looking to spend a semester abroad, but want more than just a classroom experience? Come and marvel at the mysteries of Peru's Incan past, master your Spanish while you work on your salsa moves, and earn credits in art, history, and development courses. To further your experience abroad, you can contribute to community development projects during ProWorld and Jacksonville University's unique summer semester in Peru. Homestay accommodations, intensive Spanish language classes, and cultural/adventure excursions further facilitate improved fluency and full immersion in the richness of Peruvian life. The perfect blend of academics, service work and adventure assures your summer in Peru will be anything but boring!

    Real projects...real experience! ProWorld's summer semester abroad provides a unique blend of service projects, field research, academic courses, and cultural activities. Community development projects, field work, and adventure activities complement classes, creating an integrated program understanding and a rewarding study abroad experience.

    Excursions include: weekly adventure and cultural activities, tour of the Sacred Valley and Incan ruins, remote community cultural events and major Incan Ruins around Cusco expedition.

    Take the time to also watch the sun rise over Machu Picchu! Adventures combined with cultural excursions and productive volunteer work form a comprehensive and unique experience.

  • Program Fees Include:

    - Intensive group orientation
    - 6 semester credits, fees, & transcripts from JU
    - Academic classes four to five days a week
    - Airport pick up in Cusco
    - Full room and board with a local family
    - Intensive Spanish Classes
    - Funding of development project
    - Visits to Archeological sites, weekend hikes, and cultural activities
    - 24 hour emergency contact on site
    - Regular staff check ins and access to ProWorld office in Cusco

    Program fees do not include: international airfare, passport or visa fees, textbooks, insurance, independent travel during the program, or personal expenses. Program fees may change without notice due to currency exchanges and the unique nature of international travel.
