With a customized internship in Thailand, you'll be working where your skill set will be used in helping those in need, working side-by-side with local NGOs and community groups. ProWorld's hands-on internships match your skills and interests with our host communities self-determined development goals. Apply your talents to meaningful sustainable development projects in the health care, environment, or social and economic development sectors. The majority of organizations ProWorld is partnered with for internships require a commitment of at least one month. This is to ensure sufficient exchange, cultural learning, and exposure to the development issue(s) at hand. In addition, to ensure better cultural understanding and help to eliminate language barriers while in Thailand, ProWorld requires and arranges Thai language courses for all interns.

Programs are highly supported by an international staff team and welcoming community partners. ProWorld, founded in 1998, is a true leader in the field of sustainable international development. Homestays, language study and cultural/adventure excursions encourage participants' complete immersion and cultural integration.

Real Projects... Real Experience! The focus of your development project is determined by your skills, your interests, and the needs of the local environmental community. Experiential learning provided with a unique venue for cultural immersion, professional experience, and personal growth forms a comprehensive and unforgettable internship experience.

Delve into the magnificent landscape and evident ancient cultures and temples in Thailand's "The Rose of the North", Chiang Mai. Participate in extensive cultural activities, such as Thai Massage classes, Ashtanga Yoga classes, and Thai cooking classes. These and other weekly adventures combine with cultural excursions and productive volunteer work to form a comprehensive and unique volunteer experience.

Qualifications

All participants should be adventurous, caring, sensible, humble, and curious individuals 18 years or older (unless joined by their family). Volunteers are expected to learn and grow while improving themselves and the communities in which ProWorld serves.
