With a customized internship in India, you'll be working where your skill set will be used in helping those in need, working side-by-side with local NGOs and community groups. ProWorld's hands-on internships match your skills and interests with our host communities self-determined development goals. Apply your talents to meaningful sustainable development projects in the health care, environment, or social and economic development sectors. Gain relevant, pre-professional experiences as you contribute to grassroots development projects in the local communities.
Supported internships in ProWorld host communities with cultural classes, excursions, and group living. You will live in communities near a ProWorld office and 4 to 18 other NGO Interns, work alone or in small groups, and receive extensive staff support. ProWorld offers cultural visits to palaces and temples, local parks, and cultural events. During free weekends, volunteers can also plan their own adventures.
Programs are highly supported by an international staff team and welcoming community partners. ProWorld, founded in 1998, is a true leader in the field of sustainable international development. Homestays, language study and cultural/adventure excursions encourage participants' complete immersion and cultural integration.
Further, ProWorld's on-site Project Coordinators work year round with our host communities assessing needs, thinking creatively, and setting long-term goals for sustainable development and volunteer participation. Programs start every month of the year and last from 1-26 weeks. Enroll now!
Real projects...real experience! The focus of your development project is determined by your skills, your interests, and the needs of the local environmental community. These and other weekly adventures combine with cultural excursions and productive volunteer work to form a comprehensive and unique volunteer experience.
All participants should be adventurous, caring, sensible, humble, and curious individuals 18 years or older (unless joined by their family). Volunteers are expected to learn and grow while improving themselves and the communities in which ProWorld serves.
